haven't been back there to see them since 1953 camp Cooke was near the ocean and the sea wall of boulders at Santa maria were covered with them, when i want to go home i had to cross the boulder and a would throw a big rock at the boulders and all would turn tails up and twenty million lizards dove into the rocks, it was the only way to get rid of them so you could get up to route 1 to cross the high way, birds eat them?
