I think you will find that Jesus was born in Beit Lechem, Efrat, Y'hudah -- aka Bethlehem of Ephrathah in the land of Judæa (Judah)

NOT born in Palestine. NOT born in Israel.

He was born in Bethlehem (meaning: House of Bread). Very appropriate since He was and is the Bread of Life.

I have heard a tradition that the stable where He was born was the very same stable which had been owned by Boaz & Ruth centuries earlier.

Considering that Rome ruled the Roman Empire, and when the Roman Emperor Constantine converted to Christianity ... but still lived in Rome, it seems not surprising that Rome also became a centre of Christianity. And so the Bishop of Rome also was considered as leader of the Church.

Rome is the center of the Roman Catholic church. It really has nothing to do with Christianity. Rome doesn't speak for Christianity. It loves to have people, like you for instance, to think that but it's not true.

Paul spread Christianity throughout the Mediterranean. Christianity took off more there than it did in the middle east. There is a whole lot of history involved but the Roman Empire adopted Christianity as its official religion and its capital was in Rome.

Why do you keep asking the same question over and over?

Rome is NOT the center of Christianity.

Rome is the center of the Roman Catholic Church.

There is a difference between what the bible says about being a Christian and what Catholisim says about it's religion here is a web site where you can get information about those differences:

A Roman Emperor legalized Christianity after he was converted. Rome was the center of the world, then, not Palestine..

Because during Our Lord's Time & the time of His Apostles, Israel--or rather Palestine--was under the Roman Empire.

Rome, at the time, was considered the centre of the known world, & therefore, it was a far better place, for St. Peter, the Rock, to travel to, in order to preach the Gospel to people of all the nations. So, he travelled to Rome, with St. Paul, & they both ended up being Martyred there.

St. Paul was beheaded, & St. Peter was crucified, hanging upside down, because he said he was unworthy to die the same manner of Death as the Lord.

the center of Christianity is NOT Rome. It's Jerusalem

That's not the center of Christianity. That's the center for catholicism...the POPE lives there. Protestants do not hold the pope in the same regard as do catholics.
Isreal is at the pinnacle of Christianity. We are told in the bible to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. God blesses those who bless Isreal.

Shalom!!

(peace to all my catholic brothers and sisters. I'm not coming down on the pope in anyway or trying to be disrespectful. Just answering the question)
