There's not much you can do at 18 unless you have an immediate relative who is Canadian, are very rich and are willing to make a large cash investment in Canada, or are famous. What I'd do if I were you would be to apply to a Canadian University. Once accepted, you may apply for a student authorization that will allow you to live there as long as you're a student. You may also work on campus or in a program related to your field of study...eventually. Once you graduate, your time living in Canada counts towards citizenship and you'll have points that would allow you to qualify for permanent residency under the skilled worker class, especially if you picked a major that will place you in what Canada considers a strategic work sector. If the university had you in a work placement program, that company would probably make you a job offer which is one of the requirements for skilled worker class immigration. You do this and you'll be a Canadian in no time ;-)

Instead of running, you need to study, learn all you can about our goverment, and then get into the fight! Fight for your freedoms, your rights and your country.
Canada? Far more Canadians imigrate here then Americans imigrate to Canada. In fact, very few Americans ever leave.
There are 10 million people trying to get here and you want to leave?
I know a lot of Canadians, and they aren't too happy with their country either. But they stay and they work to make things better for themselves and their families.

Wow! Some people are really idiotic.
Please, go to Canada, now!!
It's people like you that make other people lose pride in this greatest of nations. Why do you think everybody is coming to the U.S. and not Canada.
OK, you're 16. When your balls drop, post another update on your thoughts/opinions.

I've got news for you. The anti-American, anti-Israeli, anti-Christian Liberals that were in power for over 12 years up here have been out of power since January. We are now run by Conservatives who are pro-American, pro-Israel, and pro-Christian. So you probably won't like it up here. Why not move to Iran or North Korea instead?

Finally! One of you has taken my advice and exercised their right to leave! You do know however, that people in Canada cut down trees, own guns, and play hockey, football, and baseball, don't you? It's a free country too, are you sure you'll fit in? I think you should try North Korea and tell them you hate their country!

Canadians won't be able to go by using the approach. It completely relies upon on why the fellow is making an attempt to immigrate. it really is different for each human being. some attempt to get a more desirable ideal life. some are terrorists and attempting to get to the US by using Canada. i'd say that the excuses and responses are completely different for both examples I gave.
