Hello, Why "extremely" flexible? Gentle stretching w/ proper form & technique should do it. Don't Bounce or force & avoid injury. I feel Tai Chi helped me very much w/ this, better than yoga. For strength and flexibility and well-being. Good luck.

Everyone is different and some people no matter how hard they try will never be flexible. It all depend on the elasticity of your tendons. My children can do all kinds of weird things with there bodies and that is because there tendons are to lax. 1/3 of all people are to lax it is some times referred to as being double jointed however there is no such a thing. It is amazing that you can see a lot of top end athletes that can not touch there toes. Make sure that you have a good warm up before you do your stretches and stretching is the best way to get the flexibility.

well first of all: to start as a kid but that's not a must
go into the stretch until you feel a good pain
then breathe into the pain, breathe deep and be happy
(because when you're happy you relax, i'm not kidding you)
and hold the stretch 20 seconds
repeat as many times a day as you can
(if you hold it less the muscle doesn't have a chance to stretch. your muscles actually do get longer and you need to give them a chance to do so. if you hold it too long the muscle cools down and becomes tight)
if there is no pain there is no stretch (that's why most people stretch all their lives without seeing a change)
Flexibility comes through ralaxing while stretching and repeating it

Do loads of different types of streching both active and passive. It also depends on why you want to get flexible. For example if you wanted to get flexible for something like karate Kicks where you arent holding a strecth then you would do different stretches than if you wanted to do the splits.
go to www.trickstutorial.com
and read their tuorials about how to improve your flexibility they even have diagrams of the stretches
Hope this helps

Stretch every day for at least 15 or 20 minutes. i know that sounds long but stretch until it is almost unbearable from pain and hold it for about a minute. make sure you stretch both sides evenly. some stretches include, the "butterfly" stretch, try touching your toes, and crowd pleaser are great too.

You have to stretch daily, but do so slowly and carefully, to avoid injury, and you have to warm up the muscles first.
Here's a page with flexibility exercises to try: http://orthoinfo.aaos.org/fact/thr_report.cfm?thread_id=4&topcategory=wellness

Join the all girls dance class at school and you should be flexible in no time. I mean look at Jean Claude Van Damme!

I think the only way is to stretch everyday, multiple times a day for quite some time. I don't know of a better way than that.
