Its very interesting to me. I heard it was in the Bible...just like Sept 11th...regardless of what you believe? Is there any more info on this anywhere?

its 12- 21- 2012 and its a time in our galaxy when alot of celestial bodies come into alignment a very rare alignment and for alot of cultures that understood this they saw it as time of rebirth which inevitably implies some form of death. So not the end of the world but possibly a time of great despair is upon us . i dont doubt that . for the particulars of this type in 12 21 2012 and the mayans and google away. the end of the world is not likely to happen on this date . but for people who believe in astrology i being one the planets and stars do have a deep effect on our lives and there should be given alot of attention to this important time .And there will be .

September 11 wasn't in the Bible; that's the bit of the Bible Code, where they just look at what's called "equidistant letter spacing" and try to find bits that amount to words that might have some meaning. I'm willing to bet that you could also find September 10, and October 42nd. It's a bunch of crap. You could do the same thing if you took a book of all of Shakespear's works.

About the time you mention, if memory serves, is the end of the Mayan calendar. Some believe that to be the end of the world. Perhaps they fail to recognize that thousands of years ago, a civilization may have created a calendar, and not being eternal creatures, may simply have not made a calendar that was eternal. If you make something that's not eternal, you need to have an ending point; one which you will begin anew afterwards.

Whatever.... People will continue to predict the end of the world until there are no people left on the world.

Sept 11 wasn't in the bible - or not until after the fact, that is. When they predict something ahead of time, maybe we'll listen. But they never have.

Nothing will happen on 12-12-2012. Just like nothing happened on 06-06-2006.

sept 11th was not in the bible. people make things what they want them to be. the bible DOES say that nobody will ever know the exact time of the end of the world.

Based on that, the mere mention of 12-12-12 eliminates it as a possibility.

Whatever you believe, we don't even have our dates straight anyway. More importantly, you could die walking across the street tomorrow...all the reason not to spend time worrying about y2k, september 11th, ww3, doomsday, the apocalypse or 12-12-12.

***No, maybe the world should have ended on 6-6-06 or back in 1994 like the JWs thought, then we wouldn't have to wonder any longer. Regardless of what you believe, trying to predict the end of the world is a complete waste of time. Just enjoy the time you have now and hold firm to the teachings in the bible (the ones where you don't need a "bible code" to understand it.)***

It's actually December 23rd, 2012. At around 3:23 AM. Or PM. I can't really remember. I remember seeing it in a video about the Aztecs, I believe. They were the people who pioneered the belief, as that was when their calendar ended. I watched that way back in 6th grade, about 4 years ago. Ultimately, they believe that because their calendar ends then, time can no longer go on, thus the world must be destroyed then. Of course, that was their belief long ago.

Why would anyone try to even bother in trying to figure out when the world will end?!?! Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ doesn't know when He will come again. Only God the Father knows when the world will end.

36But of that day and hour, knoweth no man, no, not the angels of Heaven, but My Father only.

The winter solstice (Dec 22, 2012) is the last day of the Mayan calendar and the end of the current world cycle. It has nothing to do with the Bible.

It's the Mayan calender, which is supposed to end 12/21/2012. It'spretty interesting, because there is supposed to be some really bizarre planetary alignment on that date.
