My brother got the word "evil" tattooed across his back on his 18th birthday. Then he walked into the kitchen shirtless and announced to everybody at the table, "I don't believe in God." And he walked back out.
A bold approach, but it got the point across!

You might try to explain it by tatooing "berzerker" on your forehead and carving a pentagram into your chest with a butcher knife. Other than that, there needs to be more information. Are you of age? Do you live at home? Do you HAVE to profess your belief (or non-belief)? Why can't you just keep your mouth shut and keep peace in the family? Must you spout how you feel? Since you have no God, you have no one to answer to. You might say you have your personal pride. That's bunk. If you have no belief to stand up for why must you stand up for no belief.
Why don't you just say "amen" after the prayer at Christmas dinner and have a happy day with your family? If you have no God, then pretending for your family will not piss Him off. Is your personal pride worth making everyone else uncomfortable and miserable? I say it is not.

No need to use the a-word if it would distress the relatives. If you must discuss your religious position you could say something like this:
I haven't yet seen God but my eyes are open.
I haven't yet heard the voice of God but I'm listening.
I haven't yet felt the presence of God but I'm open to the experience.
Your grandma, grandpa and aunt would probably say the same if they're being honest.

The easiest way is just to say, I'm an Atheist. Them watch your mother have a seizure. That's what I did but the seizure just turned out to be a little stuttering, slobbering and moaning. She got over it when she saw I wasn't going to Church with her any more. Eventually she stopped going herself when she no longer had me to show off. good luck. Pay no attention to that guy age has nothing to do with belief. You don't have to be of age to be an Atheist. I say personal pride is your business and not damndirty. xx

It´s a difficult one. You need to think about how to get the message across gently.
As a devil worshipper, I seized the bull by the horns.
When my christian family came home from church, I had drawn a chalk pentagon on the living room floor, was dressed as a wizard, and was ritually masturbating over the entrails of a dead goat.
In your case, I suggest that you explain your atheism in this way: when they go to church, you burn all religious items in the house.

Just tell your parents. Not the others. That is what I did. My parents weren't laid back with it either, well not my mom at least. My dad is though. They'll love you anyway. Why should the others know?

Why bother telling your grandparents and aunt? You aren't around them 24/7, and they wouldn't believe you anyway. Your religious life is like your sex life, the less they know about it, the better for all involved. With your parents, honesty is always the best policy.

Is there a good reason to tell them?
If they are gonna ask you, you shouldn't lie to them, but unless you feel that it will make things better, there's no need for you to tell them.
Or, do they celebrate christmas in a religious way...thus making you uncomfortable? Then you might have to tell them too.

Don't act like it's a big deal. That just causes more drama. If it is questioned, just casually mention it. If they are taken aback, just act like it's no big deal. Usually they'll eventually feel foolish and move on in the conversation, but may try to "save" you later.

It may be best not to annoy them. Christians think that they need to proclaim and defend the faith.
Atheists are not called to convert or kill the non-convert. Let them alone. Even though they may scorn you, an atheist is free to love all mankind as they are.
