Not your god. He'd never command anything bad. But what might ANOTHER god do?

*sigh*

Kill in his name.

Harm a child in *any* way, including condemning it to hell.

Someting being immoral is in the eye of the beholder as it were. To the follower of a deity nothing that their god/dess would command thtem to do would be considerd immoral. However, to outsiders they might be considere the hight of immorality. As for what those things might be....that...again...depends on who is determining the morality of the act. As an example...the followers of one particular deity might command their followers to kill anyone that does not follow that particular deity. To ME that would be immoral, to kill someone simply because they do not follow the same god as the person donig the killing, but to the followers of that deity what they are doing is perfectly moral and right. It is all a simple matter of perspective....nothing more nothing less.

Have you heard of James Jones? Sometime in the '70s, he led a weird religion which required beatings of children if they were naughty. He moved his "church" & followers to Guyana from the U.S. His followers were not allowed to leave the church. A congressman went to Guyana to find out 1st hand what was going on & he was murdered by members of the church. Then all h*** broke lose & Jones told his followers that God wanted them to poison the lemonade. Parents gave it to their children & drank it themselves; some were forced to drink it. Jones then committed suicide. When officials visited the site they found over 700 bodies.

In the King James bible it states 'Thou shalt not suffer a Witch to live'. Admittedly this is a mistranslation, but this is Jehovahs book, and he should have had the power to prevent this translation if he were just.

Is murder immoral? Yeah, that works.

But wait, there's more....

I believe there is something in the bible that says you can kill your wife for being unfaithful and in that same book i believe there are a few tales about god asking people to kill their first born sons

A false god might tell his followers to kill all the infidels.

Merry Christmas.
