I've never had any and i'm thinking about getting a few bottles for my New Years Eve party but i heard it's very expensive ($200.00 a bottle) and i don't want to waste my money if it isn't that good. You would think it would be excellent at that price and since all the rappers drink it. But since i've never had it, i would like to hear from those who have. Help me out!

It does taste wonderful, but the sad thing is that you're paying for a name more than anything. Its gotten quite a reputation, and its price has grown with its repuation ... just like Grey Goose vodka and Patron tequila. If you've got the money, go ahead and buy a bottle. If not, you can find good quality champagne for much cheaper.

It's designed to ensure the highest price bracket anf therefore the appeal is on big money spenders. Roederer, the champagne house that produces the the bubbly actually tried to dissuade rappers from drinking thier product. The didn't like the image of Roederer being tainted by that lifestyle.
I would recommend Bollinger Champagne to drink, they have a supperb Special Cuvee Brut. Bolly is also one of the top two Champagne houses in France(No, the other one is Krug).
Much better in flavour because the barrel maturation it went through.
But if it is just for a drinking and partying night, buy Friexenet.

It is good, but I wouldn't say it is worth about 200 dollars a bottle. You could probably just go to a wine store and find a really good bottle for way less than that. Like a lot of wines sometimes you are paying more for the name than the actual item. Have a good new year with whatever champagne you pick.

I got a bottle for my graduation present from my very wealthy brother. I drank a glass although I NEVER drink alcohol. A few other family members had some and said it was really good. I wouldn't really know from personal experience but much of the "older" crowd seemed to be very appreciate. I think if you're having friends get together it's a nice one time celebration!

just because rappers drink it, doesn't mean it's worth the price take. Belvedere vodka? not really special, but Jay-Z also has lot of stock in the company, so they chat it up in songs
you can find comprable bottles to cristal for much cheaper

You should go and try a glass at a club or restaurant. See if it's worth it to you. You can get it by the glass. If you like it, call around to distributers and compare prices. It is alot more expensive out than it is at the liquor store or wherever.

Champagne is great, but the price is a little high for my tastes.
You might try a nice Italian Prosecco. Oh, they are delicious.

It isn't worth the price. Talk to the wine manager at the nearest fine wine store near your house and ask him what is the best. Then ask him what the "Best Value" is. You'll find what your looking for, unless your really trying to look cool.
