I have a fax, printer, scanner all in one. It is about 5 months old and has worked great, until today. I went to scan a photo, and it says "scanner cannot connect to PC" ....it worked just two days ago so I dont understand why its not connecting. Does anyone know how to fix it? Thank you.

Great question and I'll try to help you with the problem. First of all, and as silly as it may seem, temporarily replace the usb cable from the printer to the computer. If that doesnt solve the problem, get online and go to the manufactures web site of the printer and using their search box, locate and download (hopefully free) the proper software and the latest drivers for that device. After it's downloaded and installed onto the hard drive, restart the computer so that the new changes can take effect. If this still doesnt solve the problem, it's very possible that more than one of your devices is trying to occupy the same IRQ Address, which can cause conflicts. If this is the case, you can change the IRQ of one of the devices to another address. Once again, you'll need to restart the computer afterwards so that the new changes can take effect. If I can help further, let me know. Larry Radio Shack 01-9590

seek for eBay for an SCSI card on your workstation, yet attempt to google somewhat before figuring out to purchase to be certain if there is any drivers for it. Many playing cards received't artwork with more recent machines. i have study a good type of undesirable issues about SCSI to USB adapters, some artwork others do not and it truly is a crap shoot to be certain if one works for you or no longer, i'd ward off it if achievable. you are able to also call a community workstation keep. think about considered the type, it truly isn't any longer a container save like purely right purchase yet particularly run by a community human being that fixes old machines. in case you call it truly is from time to time reported 'Scuzzy'. i have noted as soliciting for an SCSI twine before and they did not comprehend what it replaced into till I reported Scuzzy. in case you locate this all to a lot to handle you are able to seem right into a used Plustek movie scanner when you're scanning movie or virtually the different flatbed scanner when you're scanning prints. yet another decision may be the Epson V500 or V600 that's a cheap USB flatbed scanner that still does an somewhat good pastime with movie/slides.

This multifunction device is connected through USB to your PC. OK? Unplug your USB cables from PC. Then switch on the CPU. Install the MFD (your scanner) software. (i) During instalation it will ask to attach the MFD. Wait a minute, then switch on the power supply to your MFD (confirm any glowing signals on power supply to your MFD) and attach it's usb to the PC and wait for atleast 1 minute. If not detected attach it to a different usb port. Then the PC will detect your MFD. Then you can continue. (ii) If not asked to attach the MFD, you install the full softwares and update the drivers of printer in device manager.

first unplug it and reboot windows, then plug it in again. see if it says found new hardware. if it does, it will work. if not;
uninstall the printer then reinstall software (printer CD) again.
