not a christian sorry, but i think i have an answer
when ur a kid, you want like the cookie more than u like the nice person that gave it to you, right?
people always want the reward, the giver is just a technicality.
for the record, i apologize to all the people i know im offending, this is just my PERSONAL opinion.

I worship God. Sure, Heaven is a good thing but I don't worship it. Worshipping God should not just be a means to get to heaven. You're right many people do worship the idea of heaven more than God, but not everyone. In fact most of the Christians I know worship God, not heaven.

we dont but maybe you look at it that way. we just think about that great suprise he has set for us when we get there. if we do get to heaven. also isnt the thought of heaven more pleasent then thinking about hell. or is it that your just looking for something to bother us christians with.

Because it's the promise of heaven and threat of hell that keeps them declaring that they have faith against all obvious reality
