Sure, I understand. They pray without faith and with doubt.
James 1:6-8
6 But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.
(from New International Version)
I get GREAT results from prayer!

I think some judge what they know about churches and prayer by what they see from TV evangelists. Yes, some of them do imply that if you give money your prayers will be answered. I don’t know if any real churches do that. I wouldn’t attend one that did.
When we pray we always say God’s Will Be Done. In other words we understand that God looks at the big picture. We only see our tiny part of it. We can ask for anything, but he may not respond in the way we would like o in the timeframe we would want.
But he certainly does answer prayers.
We are only meant to live this life in these weak, decaying bodies for a brief time. Therefore, death and disease are going to happen. This does not mean that God isn’t listening. He knows our sorrows and he comforts but he also calls us back to him.

I agree that a lot of organizations have jumped on the band-wagon, preaching the properity thing, give and you'll receive more blah blah blah..
I believe that prayer is between you and God. It's not about asking for a winning lotto ticket. It's about praying that his will be done in any circumstance. Sometimes he chooses to do miracles and heal terminal illnesses. He'll even raise the dead. Other times he chooses to let bad things happen. He's God, and we're not.

Your reality is based on physical forms of logic. When the spiritual aspect is utilized and seen, a whole new can of worms comes into perspective.
If you have no faith or hope, you tell me what do you hold on to in the midst of your odeal and faithlessness? Someday I will die, could be tomorrow or 30 years from now, it the hope of eternal bliss prescribed in the Bible and Jesus, witnessed by 500 witnesses of His ascension.
That my hope isn't based totally on life on earth, but the heavens created by God Almighty and the relationship of MY Father.
When this is accomplished and realized, nothing else should matter. My life is in His control, and I hope the couple held their trust in Him.
Then the reward came early for them.

i'm getting it, yet do you already understand why utilizing a unicorn to modify God to educate how stupid believing in God is makes a mockery out of persons's idea? Why do you imagine human beings want to be informed that atheists imagine idea is stupid? i do not want to allure to close that. in case you do not imagine life has a objective and meaning, then what's your objective in criticizing Christians and getting human beings to renounce believing in God? you do not have self belief in God, ok, fantastic, so what? you do not have a reason to do some thing, for even modern-day. Now, go away.

God is not interested in our money, only our hearts... if ppl can cure sickness which they profess is their gift from God then why don't they go into hospitals and cure all the dying and desperate there??? NO... those so called faith healers are disillusioned frauds, con men, thieves and liars and they will be destroyed like the rest of us heathens when judgment comes.

The hope of a Christian does not reside in the things of the earth but in the promises of God.
Life lasts on the average about 75 years.....
but eternity lasts......duh......perhaps a bit longer.

maybe not but they were found weren't they!!!
Thats what most Christians were asking of God...
O Father please show the atthorities where these people are please find them....
No one expected them to be dead!
I'm sure God must have needed them and called them home...Even their daughter said "They are now in Heaven."
