It's great to get rid off all that stuff you have hanging around...people come right to your door to pick it up...I've even seen rocks recycled! LOL

Freecycle and craigslist. What a wonderful way to cut down on waste.

I love Freecycle! I discovered it a couple years ago. I have found great homes for many things I no longer needed. It feels good to know that someone is truly thankful to receive your things, rather than just dropping them off at the Goodwill. We've received a couple of useful items also.

Go to Freecycle.org and find a group in your area!

Co-ops at my university usually have a "free store" -- a place you can leave things you don't want but will be useful to others, or take anything you want.

It seems to work pretty well, but often at the end of the academic year people leave more stuff there then there is room to store. So then much of it gets sold, donated, or thrown away.
