Is it different cooking with Non fat milk? I usually use 2% but my b/f can only drink low fat milk, I hate to see the gallon go to waste so I was thinking about using it when I cook.

Yes, if you're using the milk to do the job of thickener or culinary glue (examples are white sauces, casserole binding agent, etc.) but if the milk is there for taste, then I'd recommend using milk that still has some of the cream in it (2% or higher).

Sure - use it. I use vitamin D milk to cook all the time, which is whole milk, and it works just fine.

i only use skim milk and its fine.
