yes you could...
simply would have to find a way to extract the THC compound from the plant and put it into the gum. It would be better than weed because it would not impress unsafe lung attributes on the person.
Sign me up if you ever create such an invention :)

If this would ever get into market, I would start a coalition to to put a ban on the manufacture of his "happy pill" product. It is illegal. PERIOD.
If your fried wants the idiot's weed so much, then he should go to law school and argue legislation to legalize it...instead of just blatantaly breaking the law.
Yes, that's my only argument, and it ruffles the tail feathers of marijuana users because they know it's right and can't do anything about it. It just bugs you so much doesn't it?
I don't think you are looking for an answer here, because you already know the answer whether it could be put into gum or not. You are just asking because you want to see if people think the idea is "cool".

Absolutely possible. The active compounds are available in pill form for therapeutic use right now. And if you can make a pill from it, you can make a gum or a patch.
The hang up is marketing. Marijuana isn't nearly addictive enough to require a gum to break the habit, maybe it could be marketed to medical marijuana patients who don't like to take pills...
