the brown stuff means she has ear mites. don't worry, the vet will give you drops & she will be better in no time.

Well, it likely was your fault, but I have to admit that I would probably do the same thing if I saw a puppy running loose. I have, actually, and I have caught large dogs as well, but they have come to me when called or coaxed and I did not scruff them, but put a leash on them instead. As for everyone saying that this pup is abnormal, perhaps it is just going through a fear stage. I had a huge mixed breed who was afraid of everything when she was that age,and I've also had a VICIOUS 3 week old pup: <<<

you can only see ear mites under a microscope. It is either that or an ear infection. But either way the vet will give you some medicine for it. The ears will need to be flushed daily before putting the meds in though.. This is very important!

Ear mites. Good call to go to the vet. They don't look like bugs, they look like dirt just as you've explained. Make sure you get to the vet.

It could be ear mites or an ear infection. You wouldn't be able to see the mites if that's what it is anyway, they are too deep into the ear for us to see without proper equipment like the vet uses.

Sounds like ear mites. A trip to the vet and he/she will be as good as new.

She probably has ear mites. I know they dont' look like bugs, and they aren't suppose to. It'll actually just look like a bunch of ''goop'' in her ears.
