I would say no, due to the acid in the tomatoes!! Use honey with a few drops of lemon juice warmed in the microwave. Feel better! Merry Christmas!

Dissolve a very small amount of table salt in about 1/2 glass warm water. Gargle with this solution a few times a day. Make a new solution each time; and note that you should barely be able to taste the salt, so use just a pinch or two. This helps to restore the pH in your mouth and throat so that healing can happen. Also, you could try using cherry flavored Life Savers. The cherry flavor helps produce a saliva which has natural healing properties.

I've never tried it. I have two remedies that work well for me: 1) a tea called Throat Coat, and 2) gargling twice a day with a mix of 1/2 water and 1/2 hydrogen peroxide.
