I have a chihuhua and she is very spoiled, she has a very cute wardrobe, I have gotten negative comments, for ex. "she's a dog, why does she have clothes on", or "thats rude, shes uncomfortable" I think she looks so cute, I'm just asking for advice. Thanks

It's your dog, you can do what you want. I bet she looks cute!People are rude about dressing dogs sometimes. I don't understand it either. My dogs freeze without something on! They are used to being inside most all the time. So keep dressing her! My bf used to be anti-dressing dogs too, now he buys things for our dogs. haha

I think dogs are so cute dressed up, nothing wrong with it. They make the clothes for a reason, besides in the winter clothes can help protect them from the cold.

My Chi HATES to have anything pulled over her head. It's cold in the morning and at night so she has a fleece jacket that attaches with velcro at the chest and under her belly (sort of like a saddle). She doesn't mind the jacket but will not tolerate clothing of any other kind.
Oddly enough my JRT loves clothes. :) She has a purple down jacket and a grey sweatshirt.
(yah, I know..... but she is an attention hound)

i can't see putting her in clothes and jewelry cause it's cute I have a bulldog puppy and I did buy her a coat since she has short hair and it gets cold here in the mountains during the winter so she will wear it only when she goes out to eliminate other then that she doesn't need a wardrobe

My 2 dogs have their own closet for their wardrobe. Just make
sure the clothes fit - not too small that they rub their skin or too
big that they might trip or get caught in them.

I would think if your dog is not mistreated or uncomfortable, dressing her in clothes is completely up to you. I'm sure this clothing is expensive and I don't think you would be doing it unless you care for her

Lots of chi owners dress their dogs up. I see nothing wrong with it. Mine don't wear clothes because they don't like it. Chihuahua need a little extra insulation in the winter months anyway.

The only time I dress my dog is when it's cold and we're going for a walk. She's a little dog.

I think they look cute dressed up, i just bought my dog a hat. I mean as long as she dont try to take them off then its ok. Its your dog so do whatever you want to do with it.

I have a chihuahua too, and he has quite a sweater collection. It's not just because he looks cute in them (and he does), it's because he gets cold really easily, and if it's cool out and he's not wearing a sweater, he'll go get one for us to put on him.
