i am going to start a associate degree soon. i have 2 option 1.education(teaching) 2.nurseing. but i am little bit... my friends told me both of this jobs start with anual salary of $30,000.00 plus.
which seems little low. can any body give me some info? thanks

nursing-registered, lvn, masters, doctoral. all have an effect on wages as does locale. higher in california and new york, lower in mississippi and georgia. same with teaching. differing pay levels based on area, district size, unions etc. the higher the degree, and specialty, have great effect on the wage scale.
also, don't be afraid to compare levels such as elementary vs college teaching. even different colleges have different scales of wages based on prior experience in the field. ppractical experience is worth more than just none at all.
both fields are in high demand, and wage scales will reflect that as well as the location and demand in the areas you choose.
