walkie talkie use in indonesia?

Hi,
Does anyone know whether I can bring in my walkie talkies for use on bintan island Indonesia? Can one use them openly there or is this a no no?

Check with the nearest Indonesian Embassy. Or, check with A.R.R.L. the regulating department of amateur radio, in the U.S.
