Just that they don't see how they can be happy without the joy of God in their life.

Only the Atheist

Atheism comes from two Greek words, a the negator, and theos, God. Atheism teaches that there is no God of any kind, anywhere, anytime. Some atheists claim to "exercise no belief in a god" the same way they would exercise no belief in pink unicorns. Logically, an atheist would be an evolutionist.

The Bible teaches that all men know there is a God (Rom. 2:14-15). Therefore, they will be without excuse (Rom. 1:20 ) on the Day of Judgment. Instead, atheists willingly suppress the knowledge of God by their unrighteousness (Rom. 1:18-19).

I've been told that atheists are closed minded but really I've never met one so I'm not at liberty to say. But let me ask you this as a "God believer." If you don't believe in God, then how did we get here. For arguements sake, let's day you think we got here through the evolution of one cell (which is a valid theory). So how did that cell come into existence? If it was just there, then how come God can't be "just there." How is it (for arguements sake) that an ahteist can say a cell came into existence without a beginning but God is mythical. I'm not being smart I just wanted to make this arguement, thanks for giving me the chance!

They told me that Atheists don't have faith. They told me that Atheists don't believe in God. They said that Atheists are generally unhappy, miserable people because they try to live by intelligence alone and not faith. I think those are certainly BAD qualities. So far all the Atheists I've run into here in this forum and in person prove that it's true. The most miserable person I ever met in my life was an Atheist with a Ph.D. Highly intelligent but lacking a whit of common sense or faith.

The only thing I say about Atheists is they are like Christians in a big way.
Because they used to be Christians and they refuse to admit that there may be a god, but Christians don't truly understand the concept of God. Because they believe God is recording everything we think do or say, and that's where the two clash, why would Atheists be good upstanding citizens because of mans laws or because of mans laws that steam from Gods laws, so to fear one is to fear the other, because I truly think Atheists believe in a God but refuse to say it or to live like the religious people and that I can understand.

We all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. - Romans 3:23. We're all bad people that is why we sin all the time. Atheists just live in a fairy tale and don't really want to face reality. Remember that you must be born again to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. John 3:3.

hmmmmm, I was an atheist, but now am a full fledged Christian. At the time I was so sure I was right, you would never convince me any different. But as it goes I was blind and now I see. It is going to be easier to reach an atheist who has not been plagued by the false doctrine the church leaders teach. Then it will be to reach other 'religious' people who are so sure they are right. Religion is contaiminated by man made teachings-it spreads like the plague. And yet one thing Jesus asked His followers to do, was check the scriptures to confur if the religious leaders are speaking the true gospel, and yet nobody does. They blindly listen to hypocritical teachings. Are atheist intentionally blind, of course not God told us He was putting a veil over their hearts to blind them from the truth. Evidently we are not doing a real good jod convincing them other wise. Because as Christians we teach contidictory from the Word.

^ Pamela, that's a horrible thing to say. Atheists do have faith - in other things. I have faith in humans. I have faith in my parents. I have faith in science, etc.

Some people are unhappy. Some are happy. Those happy or unhappy people can be theists or atheists. There's no correlation b/w being an atheist and being unhappy. I, for one, am an atheist suffering depression but NOT because of my atheism.

The only 'bad things' I ever hear about athiests usually come straight from athiests.

Usually its along the lines of "athiests are smarter" and follow the general theme of "we don't have all the answers, but we know the truth". which is a contradiction.
