The creed is the official declaration that Church believed in the Trinity as opposed to God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost being Physically separate, divine, entities that worked together. The trinity was decided by a majority vote. I guess they couldn't all agree simply because believers of either concept simply would not back down either way.

The reason they couldn't agree was that it was a purely rhetorical debate, devoid of any historical facts or arguments. Arius argued that Jesus was a mortal man, because there was no evidence to the contrary. Athanasius argued that Jesus was not a man, but was instead one and the same with God. Not because he had evidence for this, but because he didn't feel was logical that the death of a mere mortal could absolve the sins of all mankind, so Jesus had to be divine. This is the sort of argument that you either agree with or you don't, and the coucil couldn't get a clear majority. In the end, they comprimised by saying Jesus was "similar to" God. That's what the Nicean Creed states.

They did agree...that delusion came from the DaVinci Code .

If you want the truth don't come near the delusional DaVinci Code book...you will be deceived.

" Now the Spirit speaks expressly that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils, speaking lies in hypocrisy..."(1Tim.4:1)
