I'm putting on a little weight around the middle, but I have a knee injury and I have trouble walking. I can walk fine and all but I can't walk very long distances for exercise. So what's the best way to get rid of some thigh and belly fat without strenuous excersise?

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. Bad carbs like cake will, but you don't need to know the whole science of glycemic index and load. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin and healthy. Not a diet, but diet lifestyle. Find out about fastest way to lose weight, gradual ways to lose weight, most effective exercise, good and bad carbs and anti-water. Reading a book stuffed with useless words will take you hours but the information on a post, taking minutes to read, is not enough. The webpage below will take about 30 minutes to read which is just enough to know what you need to know.

Lose bodyfat and retained water which also makes you a lot fatter. Links page has gov. BMI calculater to find out just how much overweight you are (teens plug in your age to compare to others your age). Get latest info like American Heart Association does not want you to eat more than 6 ounces daily of meat, fish or poultry. Most important-- make sure to read the last "fat loss tip", first before anything else, to see the number one food that causes Americans to be fat.

I'd say consume lots of fruits and veggies.

Since major exercise is out of the question, try altering your diet, cut out a few calories. If you eat 3 cookies a day, switch to a piece of fruit. Stuff like that.

I'd say walk as you can. Walking slower is how you burn more fat. If you walk fast, your body will begin to tap into other energy sources anyways.

Dont strain yourself, whatever you do. If need be, wait until your knee is better to worry about losing weight.

I also have a knee injury and other diseases like fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis..
My doctor suggested swimming as a low impact exercise..
It costs $35 Australian Dollars here to join the local swimming pool for a year so it is relatively affordable...
I hope you get some relief, I know how painful it can be...

Well, you could do some core exercises (that don`t use legs as much) and eat A LOT of healthy food. Put "Forbidden" signs on foods with a percentage of over 5 on fat. This should probably help. I hope your leg heals!

Swimming is a really good exercise that you can do and you don't need good knees for it. Swimming has almost zero impact on the knees and joints. So if you could join up at a gym that has a swimming pool, you'd be burning calories so fast it would make your head spin!

Good Luck, Hun. :-)

Swimming is the best weightless excercise anyone can do. Im sure there is a YMCA with a heated pool you could do some water aerobics in.

Maybe you can do some leg lifts...without bending your knees of course...and maybe for the belly you do some straight legged sit-ups.
