I'd just keep smiling and making them look like idiots. The bible tells us to heap coals upon the enemy's head w/kindness. If they don't want to invite you, why would you want to go where these sort of people hang. Obviously they are very insecure so leave them to themselves.

Continue smiling by all means and just be yourself.
It does not matter if they keep up the lousy attitude because there is always someone watching the interaction and you will want to keep being polite and friendly.
I was in a similar situation and realised that I would rather not associate with them after work since their office-hours' attitude already turns me off. No point in torturing myself after-work with more lousy manners when I can spend the time with friends.
At the end of the day, you just have to remember that they are only colleagues and not the people who really matter in your life.

Keep on being polite. You could also mention to them that you find it hurtful when they talk about after work drinks that you're not invited to in front of you. If they're impolite back or keep on being impolite, you might want to mention this to you boss. chances are, he'll give you and your colleagues a talk about etiquette. But if your boss is rude to you or doesn't do anything about it, work someplace else where the colleagues are nicer. you might want to mention the reason to your colleagues and your boss why your leaving, especially if they really need you.

Just remember: You're NOT there to make friends. Don't give it a 2nd thought. Besides, a co-worker of mine told me this: "If they're talking about you, they're not thinking about what they could be doing with their lover. This means that you evidently are more fascinating to them than their sex partner". Keep that in mind when they blank you. It should make you chuckle, which will drive them insane!!

I've struggled with the same issues at the office. Your best bet is to kill them with kindness. They are obviously miserable, and want you to be miserable too. Don't stoop to their level. You don't necessarily need to go overboard...you can just continue to smile politely. Or...going overboard is fun too. At a previous job there was this one woman who just despised me. She was really dark (in mood) and just plain miserable. I was always happy and smiling, always in a great mood...a regular ray of sunshine. She made her disdain for me really obvious. So...I would bring her a coffee *EVERY* morning, just the way she liked it - extra extra. I would leave little notes on her computer that said things like, "Hope you have a fabulous day!" with little smiling sunshine faces on them. I would get her really nice greeting cards just because. When I went to the Caribbean, I brought her back a really nice souvenir (too nice to be called a souvenir). The best part about it is that I was very genuine with all of this. She hated me for it. But, what could she do? I came off as exceedingly nice to everyone else...and she looked just plain mean and miserable. When I left, she pulled me aside and told me how much she actually appreciated all of the attention. She said because she was always so mean, people usually just left her alone. She of course told me this in the utmost confidence...didn't want to ruin her image I guess. Go figure.
At my current place of employment, I simply smile sweetly and keep on walking...remember not to take it personally. It's got nothing to do with you, only about how poorly they feel about themselves...Good luck!

Be loving and kind to them. Your kindness should not be governed by their behaviors.
In the Beginning God created heavens and earth.
God gives you air to breathe and sunshine to enjoy.
God gives you water to drink and food to eat.
God gives you a wonderful body and sound mind, to live.
God loves you, and you are precious to Him.
Son of God died on the Cross to save us from condemnation.
Jesus’ love is boundless and everlasting.
We have the hope of Heaven through Jesus.
Life therefore has fantastic and glorious future!
(Digestion of above can even prevent depression and suicidal thoughts.)

Don't even bother to get into the club since they started all of this first. Main thing is to keep cool and be yourself. Don't let anyone or anything bring you down.
