People from Mexico (Mexicans) speak Spanish. The Spanish word for girl is chica. In the spanish language, when you add the -ita to a word (or -ito) it either means small or it is a term of endearment. For example, a grandfather is Abuelo, and someone could call their 6 foot tall grandfather "Abuelito", and not mean little grandfather, but more like saying Grandfather with a loving tone.
So ... you could either be talking about a little girl - "chiquita", or a girl who you were fond of.
:) Hope that cleared it up a little.

small or little girl.
Chica means girl
-ita is used to indicate a general petitness of the noun it follows.
Also, the language is Spanish. In Mexico, Mexicans speak Spanish.
Like in America, we speak English.
