It is not just christians. Christianity is not the cause of crime, but it can be a motive, just like everything else in the world.

Here is a sample list of things that have been used for the despicable:

Christianity
Islam
Chemistry/Science
Weapons
Military
Evolution
Free Will
Mercy
Rivalries
Friendships
Break-Ups
Disagreements
Ethnicity

1. You're taught that everyone falls short of the grace of God (So there's no point in claiming that REAL Christians are christ like)
We are supposed to strive to be Christ-like. Just because we can never attain it doesn't mean that it is not a worthy goal
2. You're taught that God will forgive you for ANYTHING you do (This causes a low standard of behavior)
This can be misunderstood. You don't recieve forgiveness by merely asking. You must truly repent (turn away) from your sin. To continually commit the same sin over and over suggests that you really haven't given it up and therefore haven't recieved forgiveness. This doesn't mean that you could truly repent at some point.

3. You're taught that you're born sinners (murder, rape, cheating, stealing ect. are all sins) So, you're born to murder?
We are born with the capability to sin. We are born to glorify God, but God has also given us free will. Human flesh is weak and often chooses to the wrong thing.

4. You're taught that life is just a passing ground or a test (This takes value away from life)
I don't know where you read it was a test, but this life is an opportunity to serve others. A true Christian is known by their fruit, meaning how do you live your life? Do you serve others? Do you try to make things better?

5. You're taught that God will love you no matter What you do (If you murder 2000 people, God still loves you? How will this prevent you from doing it?)
God loves all people all beliefs. He only asks that we believe that Jesus Christ died as a perfect sacrifice for our sins and to turn away from our sins. Then we must love and serve others. God hates sins and demands that we turn away from it or suffer eternal death. God want EVERYONE to live an eternal life, but He knows that some will choose not to. God is our Father. This makes Him sad. Wouldn't you be sad if you had a child that you told you would give everything to, but they chose to deny you?

6. You're taught that things will get worse until Jesus comes back (Why try to make things better if you're taught that it will only get worse?) Just because things will be bad doesn't mean that we shouldn't try to make them better.

7. You're taught that no sin is greater than the other (So murder is not worse than lying about your age?) No wonder why Christians murder so much.
There is no good reason to excuse ANY sin. You can never use "God will foirgive me" as an excuse. Can you excuse an atheist of murder just because he believes that there is no God? Are you suggesting that atheists don't murder?

The bottom line is that religion screws everything up by placing human values to a God concept. It's all about a true RELATIONSHIP with our creator. Much sin has been done in the name of God. This does not excuse the sin. You can't invoke the name of God to forgive your sins. You can only turn away from them and ask for forgiveness.

1) Practicing Christians STRIVE to be Christ-like, of course we're not perfect like Him, but we're supposed to keep trying.

2) God forgives AFTER repentance and change of heart, to commit a sin thinking "oh, it's okay, I'll just repent later." is a total mockery of the atonement.

3) I was taught that little children and babies are innocent, because they haven't yet learned to fully distinguish right from wrong. No one is born to murder.

4) Being a test gives it more value because I want to do really well on it.

5) There's a lot more preventing me from murder than worrying if God will still love me, the biggest one being, it's simply not in my disposition to do so, the mere thought of it abhors me.

6) Perhaps the world will get worse, but my home, and my personal sphere of influence can get better, and that's worth working for.

7) I am taught that there are degrees to sin.

Did you know that in the US... the higher the atheist rate in a city the higher the crime rate? Compare the crime rate in NYC ( 35% Athiest/Agnostic) and the crime rate in Dallas (7% Atheist Agnostic) Compare any city in the Bible Belt to any city outside of it.
