There's this girl i really like. I have floor seats too the john mayer concert in oklahoma city. Would a concert be a good idea for a first date?

Yea! It is the perfect oppurtunity to not get serious and lovey dovey, but have fun! I dont know about you, but I think this girl is in for a GREAT first date!

The best idea for a first date, is to be in a comfortable environment for the both of you. That requires you to do prior research. If she loves John Mayer then that's a great start. The best way to impress girls (for most girls) is to listen to them, and find out what they like and dislike. And the key is to remember it.
Example: you see her on more than one occasion drinking "pepsi" (I wont say an alcohol drink since I don't know how old you are), then when you go to buy drinks get her a pepsi. Observant girls will remember that.
I met a girl at a concert and we dated for three years.

A concert is a great first day..but here's a few thought I think you should consider. If you have asked her out before her parents may not think this is such a good idea. she may have dating privileges but they may have limitations, curfew etc...I don't know when the concert is , but here's what I suggest...talk to the girl be ( brave ) tell her you like her and would like to know if she's dating anyone else..if she says no say how would you like to go out with me sometime? if she says; yes tell her about the concert but tell her you realize that her parents would want to meet you first and get all the details of the event etc...you may not get permission to take her to" this" concert ---maybe some other Friend will have to share the experience with you. but if you & this girl start dating...maybe next time a concert rolls around you'll have established a relationship with her parents and you can share the "concert "experience another time. Be sensitive to her parents concerns---- this is their baby and if you like her alot you can imagine how much her parents adore her. be a gentleman and you'll do fine. who ever you go to the concert with enjoy. If you get to start dating this girl always treat her like a lady be respectful of her parents rules about dating her and I'm sure you'll both have a lot of fun. good luck & enjoy the concert !

Buddy. If you're going to take a girl to a John Mayer concert make sure she'll slag you afterwards. Because that's like a pretty good date to say the least.

a concert is a great first date because it shows that you have style and taste in music. but you also want to get her dinner so that she wont starve! but other wize conserts are wonderful dates as long as its not soooo loud you cant hear what each other is saying. But make sure she like john mayer before you take her or else your dating with her wouldnt be good. best of luck!

too big of a comprimise if you really like her start lower and make yourself up into concerts and stuff
