almost all medications are made using Hydrochloric Acid, HCL. when you look up the generic names of drugs, they all say HCL on the end of them.

A thought that comes to mind immediately would be bacteria. But I wouldn't bank on it without more information. Enzymes could fit as well. There are a myriad of possibilites depending on the context of the question.

You would be amazed at where some medicines come from. Acetaminophen for example comes from oil.
