If it is a newer car with an electronic spedo then no it does not. On an older car with a cable drive spedo, it will continue to add mileage if the car is towed with the drive wheels turning.
Anything made since the mid 90s should be electronic.

It shouldn't. A rear wheel drive will, if they are towing from the front and haven't removed the drive shaft (that's bad). A front wheel drive will be towed from the front, so the drive train isn't turning. If it's towed with the drive tires down where the tranny will be turned you could burn up your transmission (a friend at work had this happen).

Most old cars yes and all new cars no, but t the wrecker co. has any know how about them in either situation you should not have to worry about miles being added!

different vehicle have the speedometer connected in numerous ideas. I somewhat have a VW the speedometer runs off the front wheel. maximum autos the speedometer runs off the transmission. to keep it from registering on the speed.head purely disconnect the stress shaft.
