Try to eat something really, really spicy. I don't know if this is true, but I remember some incients in my life where I ate a lot of spicy foods and drank soda. The soda seemed to taste horriible for some reason. I don't really know if it was the spice that was the factor or something else, and it hasn't happened in a while (I never drink soda now) so it might have been something else entirely.

Just give it a try.

Start with iced tea and move to water

I have to do that every once in awhile. Our family drinks FAR too much soda sometimes and we need to chill. I find that tea helps the cravings for the sweet & caffiene, then it's easier to just drink water.
