i have always been fascinated with tattoos so on my 18th birthday i got one. i have since had it covered with another tattoo and i am now into tattoos because of the art that is involved in custom tattoos. i love them and couldn't imagine not having them.
i have a koi on my back that is swimming up a waterfall. it represents the struggle that is life but when i get to the top it will be worth all of the pain and hard times.

i have a skull on the top of my right foot as a memorial to my coach in high school who was murdered and a friend who was killed in a car accident. it reminds me daily that life is short and to treasure every minute of it.

I got my first tattoo about 2 months ago. I got a fairy on a moon on my hip. Im only 17 and my mom went with me. I got it to show that I am able to fly into the skys and reach the stars. I have big plans for my life and I have a wonderful boyfriend who is giving me apromise ring. I just saw getting a tattoo as 1. rebelling, 2. symbolic, and 3. beautiful. I am thinking about getting another one on my lower back of a bunny fairy b/c that was my nickname growing up and i like fairies.
Please go to some one with a ton of experiance and make sure the design is something u like and want on you for the rest of your life. I hope all is well with your family, all goes wel with the tattoo and have a happy holiday!!!

I got a tattoo because it is like a coming of age thing. It starting another chapter in your life. I got snowflakes that are like blowing in the wind on my foot. I got it because I love snowboarding and I wanted something that represented it. Snowboarding is what gets me through the the tough times and what keeps me looking towards tomorrow. And what better to represent that than a snowflake. Also snowflakes I find very interesting, they are so beautiful and every single one of them is different. No two are the exact same, they kind of represent people in a way. Your tattoo sounds really cool, I am not quite sure how they are going to get it to look sparkly but good luck and enjoy it.

I have two tattoos- both are on my feet and on my flip flop line. The first was a small flower made of 5 hearts for the five things/people/ideas most important to me. The second was a little green star- also a cliche, but I love it. I've always wished on stars and they have a special meaning within my sorority. I want to get 2 more stars.

My first tattoo is on my right shoulder and is a butterfly. Which sounds like a cliche, but it has meaning in regards to one of my favourite sayings "Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly." and I decided to have 3 of them when I met 3 particular goals. That one was for completing a 10k race.
My second and most recent tattoo was of my family crest and I had it done while on vacation in Edinburgh, Scotland. My family and heritage means a lot to me, and I like the motto on the crest, which is latin, but means "I hope for better things"
Tattoo's are great, and so addictive!

1st: Heart w/ knife going through it and my name on a banner wrapping the heart. Age 14. Reason, I was stupid to get it done this young but it was a symbol of my life and all the pains with my name ribbon holding it all together. 2nd: The letter B. Age 16. For a boys name. I know it was really stupid. 3rd: Barbed wire running around my ankle w/ a rose vine intertwined. Age 18. A cover up for the boys initial, symbolizing stupid young innocence. 4th: My sons name on my ring-finger, above my wedding band. Age 20. Putting my son above all others including my husband. 5th: My second son's name in Chinese letters on the back of my neck. Age 25. Chinese letters because it was a change from the norm, just like having another child was a change in my life.

I have four tattoos.
My first was a butterfly on my inside left ankle because I love butterflies.
My second was the kenji symbol for elder sister on my inner, upper right arm because I am the oldest sister to two of the best (and annoying) sisters in the world.
My third was my astrological sign on my outside upper left arm because, well, it's my sign.
My fourth was a rose on the outside right ankle because I love roses.
My fifth and final tattoo *will* be a pair of tribal angels wings on my back to honour my two goddaughters.

My first tattoo I got the day after I turn 18, a butterfly on my lower back. I know its cliche...but to me it kind of represents the end of my childhood and the freedom of adulthood. I also have a fairy on my right shoulder, but that one doesn't have particular meaning...I just like fairies! And I love it! I want to get another one eventually, but I think this time I might wait for something significant to happen in my life, like having my first child. I like your idea, that's cute. : )

when my daughter was almost a year old I got my first and only tattoo. It has a heart with a celtic cross going through it with yellow roses around it. I have my daugthers name over it and I had it done over my heart because that is where she belongs and I wanted everyone to know it.
