Because I want to buy wholesale items online, I found one but they were asking for a Reseller's ID, I wonder if they're the same thing.

No, they are not the same. The tax ID is typically the federal employer identification number you use for your income tax and payroll tax filings. The resale ID is the tax id number you get from the state to be used in sales tax filings, and to purchase things for resale, so you don't have to pay sales tax on it (you will collect and pay the sales tax when you sell it).
