I make a slide show every year instead of mailing cards, but some of my loved ones may not have PowerPoint and I would like them to see the pictures and text.

Download Powerpoint viewer here. Suggest when downloading, you "save" the file rather then "run" it.

In the newest version, PowerPoint 2003, you can 'Package for CD' which will put the presentation and a copy of PowerPoint Viewer on the CD. It will make the slide show an exe file so the person viewing doesn't need PowerPoint to see it. It's under File on the main menu. Older version also have the same capabilities.

File>Save As
choose PPS not PPT

PPS is extension used in previewing ur powerpoint slides.. not editing the slides.

it's look like EXE File.. where no need to install any programs.
