It depends on the policy of your local service, but policy usually states that such passengers are accepted if:
(a) Each child or additional person can be properly restrained
(b) Such passengers are not exposed to traumatic situations
(c) Such passengers are unlikely to hinder any procedures required
(d) Such passengers are not put in a potentially unsafe situation.
Given the above, it is then usually at the paramedics discretion.
I have very rarely had reason to refuse passengers, but policies differ from service to service.

I would think so? The times my disabled child had to take it to the hospital of course I was there with him. Just remember (if you can leave them with someone would be the best) the trauma of this experience can effect them dramatically.
Call the hospital and ask. This way just in case anything happens you will know :0)

Emergency responders stay with the youngsters till a family contributors member or an authorized individual comes abode. while somebody demands an ambulance, law enforcement officials patrolling the section and different available instruments additionally answer the call, not in undemanding terms the paramedics themselves. this suggests that via the time the ambulance is taking the parent away, there will be different workers available to observe your toddlers. i've got had this journey interior the previous and our pals (whom we have confidence and know o.k.) took our young ones to their abode till my sister arrived to %. them up. i replaced into huge wakeful sufficient to permit the paramedics know that it replaced into ok for the youngsters to circulate around the corner. if that they had not been around the interior of reach patrol might have stayed till yet another person might desire to take over.

I believe each state or city is different. They would not allow my husband to ride with me. I wanted him to very badly . He had to drive behind the ambulance.

No. Social services or a neighbour/family member will take them. They can't just stay at the hospital and entertain themselves.
