Well one incidence was that my family was on a airplane and we were looking at a map of the world.All of a sudden she blurts out 'Oh Terry (my dad) The Bahamas are in Canada right?So ...we did'nt say anything cause we were embarrassed.She done so many things to embarrass me and my sister ,what should i do? Btw that was only one of the times an embarrassing moment happened.

Sorry, but I would say weird is a bit mild-... more like dumb maybe. Although the fact that she asked shows that there's hope here. Put up a world map poster on the kitchen door and say that you think you all can benefit from it being posted there.. This way it isn't too obvious that you want most of all her to be smarter in geography. Chances are she will not suspect at all that it's because of her you are posting it there..... lol. Again- sorry. In fact suggest a game in which the person who can locate the most countries or cities doesn't have to help with the dishes- or something like that.

Was she saying this as a joke or was she serious? If she was 'Weird' it doesn't matter. If you ever get embarrassed by her, if you aren't around people you know, like in an airplane, does it really matter? You'll never see them again. I wouldn't say your mom is weird, maybe she isn't the best at knowing where countries and things like that are, we all have flaws. So I highly doubt your mother is weird, heck maybe it was all a joke. I'm not sure. But good luck!

Wow...I don't think it's a matter of being weird...perhaps just a little naive. Don't feel so embarrassed of your mom. It's not her fault. Just be happy that you have a mom and parents that are still together. The best way to get over parental weirdness is to remember that they were once teenagers too, and that they only act like they do because they were the ones that had to change your diapers and clean up your messes...no wonder they get so weird...anyways. I would not be worried. Really dont want to sound cheesy but this is truth. Everyone is unique. I think that is a better way of saying it. Embrace your moms quirkiness. Enjoy your time with her. If she is a good mom then you are lucky and should seize every opportunity to be friends. By the way. I am not a mother. But I do have a very 'unique' dad. So I know what its like. Just roll with it.

LoL oh hun, don't be embarrassed, she sounds like she has a lot of character. Just remember she's your Mom and love her for that reason. You are making momories right now. Mom's aren't around forever so enjoy while you can.
Live life to the fullest, it really doesn't matter what everyone eles thinks as long as your happy.

lucky you...mom and dad and the kids on a plane going on vacation...maybe you should give your mom a hug and say i love you mom....her heart is in the right place missy, trust me
