My sunday school teacher asked us that and I was just wondering what are other peoples' opinions.

[Use biblical references please]

There's no "holy spirit", so the answer is "no".

Wow, you actually inspired me to dig through my scriptures to find this one:

D&C 84:46 "And the Spirit giveth light to every man that cometh into the world; and the Spirit enlightenieth every man through the world, that hearkeneth to the voice of the Spirit."

I think that means everyone gets a concience and a degree of understanding through the Holy Ghost. But those who really listen to it, and follow it's promptings are given much more inspiration on top of that.

thanks

Well OK. How do you think some one in doubt or a non-believer decides to take the leap of faith? A good Shepard does not neglect the lost one of the flock, to my knowledge.

For a non believer to be hearing voices...yeah, that would be mental illness, not deities talking to people. Scary.
