my mom has this she hurts in her lower stomach she can not eat popcorn corn some raw veg. she has to get med. from the dr right away food gets stuck in a pocket that is in your intestine and it becomes infected it really hurts.....

www.webmd.com always has answers. my dad had diverticulitus and he needed surgury. what happens is the body cant (in his case) digest seeds so they build a blockage in his intestints and cause pain very severe pain. it feels like cramps, charley horses, he had chills like he had a fevor he took a long time in da bathroom and stuff.the surgury took out the blockage. my uncle also had it, he waited a very long time and he had some of his intesint removed. he wore a colostime bag (collects all the waste from your body and is worn on the outside of the body.)
