A great Argentinian wine that is mixed like a Bordeaux yet ready to drink now is:
2003 Greg Norman Estates Cabernet-Merlot Limestone Coast, Ranked number 65 out of the best 100 wines for 2006

The best of all worlds, some Cabernet, some Merlot and ranked as a top wine by people who know wine. I like it too.

P.S. it only costs around $14 bucks

Cabernet Sauvignon
Cabernet Sauvignon is a rich full-bodied red wine. Aged in oak, this is a complex wine with cassis and blackberry flavors as well as hints of bell pepper. This is the classic wine to pair with red meats.

My favorite red wine is Shiraz and especially a brand called Woop Woop Shiraz from Australia. It is awesome! It will go great with prime rib.

Cabernet or Merlot is a good answer...but if you like a lighter red try a nice Red Zin.
Yumm. Prime rib sounds great!
