There are several books that have been written that show the exact style of letter that you want to write and then provides a template for the letter. You can probably find alot of template type information on line. Good Luck. It would be helpful to know what kind of letter you want to write

Depend on the type of letter. For a job check-check out like monster or careerbuilder who have example cover letters.
A letter is just another form of you talking. Write down what you want the letter to say and have a secretarial service like mine compose it for you. Good luck!

MS Word software has some great templates for a whole bunch of different genres of letters (e. g., personal, legal, professional).
