the only way to get reassurance is if you go to the ER but i'll try to explain what might be going on:
it usually means you have muscular chest pain , it's when you get a muscle spasm in the muscle surrounding your ribs , since when you move your arm you move the muscles and you get pain, if i get it i ignore it and it goes away but that's cuz i don't have risk factors for pneumothorax or CAD,or symptoms of pneumonia , and happen to get it if i excercise a lot.I'm also a physician so i won't tell you to ignore it since i know nothing about you , i just hope you're fine.
if you had trauma to your chest recently, suffer from fever and cough , or have difficulty breathing or palpitations or dizziness or sweating you should go see a dr immediately.if it doesn't get better or you feel it's painful go see a dr as well, if you're a smoker or use drugs see one immediately.
chest pain is hard to diagnose by phone even harder by the internet, you will need to be seen by a physician to be sure you're fine.
usually it's only muscle spasm but i can't take the responsibility for assuring you that tou're perfectly fine as only the physician who took full history and exam as well as neccesary tests can do so and it's usually done in the ER .
good luck .
you can read this to get more info it's a great site and i didn't cover the subject fully as i would've liked to

It could be ANYTHING - from simple inflammation or heart disease. You really haven't listed enough information for a person to point you in the right direction. Are you having any other pains? Where in the right side of your chest does it hurt? Near the center or over the lung area? Did you just eat a large or greasy meal? Could it be heartburn? Did you overwork your muscles in the last day or two? It really could be anything... if it is still bothering and hasn't gone away in the next couple of days, though, get it checked out. Of course, if at any time you start having sharp shooting pains down your arm and can't breathe, call 911! That could be the signs of a heart attack.

Yes, I would see a DOCTOR RIGHT AWAY. Especially if you are experiencing pain in your left arm and is experiencing some numbness and shortness of breath. I hope that you feel better!

you must be checked by a doctor. based on other symtoms you could have walking pnuemonia. Illnesses left untreated can cause long term damage (scarring that'll make you have these sysmtoms for life)

(doctors daughter, coming through :D) Hm..if you have been experiencing this just recently, (ie: not your whole life) then it probably means you've been getting a lack of sleep or maybe that you sat in a wrong position for quite some time. (ie: 2-6 hours)
hope that helps! :)
