I had the same problem and was diagnosed with plantar faciitis..
The first step is making sure you have good and comfortable shoes with plenty of support.
There is also orthotics available but a much cheaper option would be to go and get yourself fitted for a good pair of shoes...
Try to talk to your boss or if you work for yourself and take a 5 minute sitting down break every 40 minutes, take your shoes off and massage your feet..
I am semi disabled and cannot rub my own feet comfortably so I bought a wooden massager which sits on the floor and I run my feet over it... It was only $15..
Good Luck in finding help..

We have instituted special rubberized foam mats at our company for the packers who stand all day folding cardboard boxes. We also put the special mats in front of milling machines where a machinist stands all day.

That may help your situation if the shoe inserts don't work, or they can be used in addition to the shoe inserts.

There are orthotic insoles called "Superfeet" that work really good! I usually get them at R.E.I. (an outdoors sporting goods store.) Or, you can look online.
I work as a cashier and a hairdresser, so I know about standing!

Try changing your shoes at midpoint of your shift. This will give you a fresh pair of shoes, and your feet will feel better.

Try using Dr. Scholl's gel pads. I remember I had foot problems when I was younger, and Dr. Scholl's worked wonderfully. They are very comfortable too =].
