Depends on what it was for. Usually you can just look at the back. There should be a place to plea guilty. If there isn't any info, you can call the county where you received the ticket and find out. Most of the time, if isn't anything huge, they'll let you pay it.

The cop generally tells you or you can look at the back of the ticket it should have a space for you to sign (guilty) and pay the fine. This may not be available if you exceeded the speed by more than 20mph or were cited for drag racing or some other dangerous item.

Not often. Read it carefully. Did the po-lice man check the box saying you could send payment and enter an amount for you to make the check out for. Oh - I mean money order as they don't take checks. If he did not check that box and enter an amount - he is out to see you in court and get some "big" money and court costs.
