a very special, unique mug?
My friend didn't know what to give me because I got everything
but he went and got a Mug with one of my favorite artist/painter
which it was Mary Cassatt, I always use that mug and like to show it off. Sometimes inexpensive things are what matter the most. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, or Happy Kwanzaa!

Well, it depends on whether or not the person is a guy or a gal. Personally, I think that people should be given useful presents - like giftcards they can use in the future or stock shares from their favorite company to build their portfolio. If it is a kid, they should have an account opened for their college education. Things like that might not seem so wonderful now, but people will be thanking you the rest of their lives in the future. Otherwise, just ask the person in a round-a-bout way what the one thing is they want that they don't have. You might be surprised at how simple it is.

Heifer International is a wonderful gift. I've used it for people with that same description. They have LOVED it! You can buy a "share of a goat" or a "flock of chicks" and so on. Check out the website.

Buy the person a really expensive bottle of wine/liquor that they normally would not buy for themselves. (Assuming that the person drinks).
Gotiva Chocolatier has the most expensive truffles around. I have gotten great feedback from "sweet-tooths" I have given them to. (They would never buy the expensive stuff for themselves).
Do they really have the latest of everything? For example: A man I know who has "everything" was still working off of a small dated computer monitor. His son is buying him a nice new one. Look around at what is "aging" in this person's home! An upgrade is always welcome. Garden accessories can be bought at a discount at this time of the year assuming that you live in a cold climate. (Patio laterns, fancy lounge chair, etc)

Something out of the ordinary. A skydiving lesson, a dinner cruise, a ride in a balloon, an expensive bottle of wine, tickets to an amusement park. Think out of the box!

Find out what city they grew up in and buy a couple of picture books about the history of that town including the years he or she lived there etc.

My dad's like that. I HATE Christmas shopping for him! This year I had a brainstorm and got him a calendar from the WalMart photo shop with pictures of the family for each month. I KNOW he doesn't have that! Good luck and Merry Christmas!

I don't know anyone who wouldn't appreciate a beautiful filled basket. I have seen beautful ones in whole foods filled with exotic cheeses and crackers, fruits and coffee...or go for a coffee table book, most people would like that...or if you are looking to spend money, go to the sharper image. toys for the rich!

If they truly have everything, then a donation. But most people would appreciate gift certificates to restaurants, even if they give them away to poorer friends or associates.
