My twins must be angels compared to the kids on that show.
My kids disobey at times but never slap me or destroy the house like that. Why are their kids so out of hand?

It's funny you posted this, Just last night I was watching it and I was thinking, WOW my kids are angels! Same as you. It surprises me how parents seem to lose control of there kids and what amazes me even more is this women who has never had any kids comes right in and fixes it..(thinking most have to do with tv-ratings).

My kids talk back and disobey at times too, but that's part of them being kids. No kid is perfect. But like your kids, mine do not destroy the house and act out in violence either.

I think the supernanny is quite possibly the most annoying woman on earth and most of her techniques suck. but I do watch the show on occasion to remind myself that I am an excellent mother what is wrong with the parents on this show do they really need to be told that its not acceptable for the kids to beat on them? and yes consistency is key in almost all aspects of life why do they need a nosy overbearing nanny to tell them these things? oh yea and the kids are out of hand because the parents are morons

YES! I don't watch on a regular basis but when I have watched it I've sat there in amazement. My kids seem near perfect compared to the kids on that show. My kids are NOT angels and they are NOT perfect but I sure appreciate them more after watching that show. My 6 yr. old has actually watched with me and he has made comments like "what is wrong with those kids?" or "I'd never do that!"

My kids get whiney or will argue sometimes. But they are never disrespectful and they don't act like monsters like the kids on that show.

Actually, I really usually think it's not so much the KIDS that are the problem, but that the PARENTS are ineffective. I usually think, "Thank God we are better at handling out kids than that." So many of the parents seem to be doormats who won't take authority and let the kids walk all over them. Or they are just plain clueless as to how to handle the kids.

Yes! Yes! Yes! I would end up in the nut house if my children ever acted like that. I personally think the reason their kids act like that is because they don't have a routine. Kids need a routine with out one they don't know how to act. Children need to be loved and spoiled, but they also need boundries. Most importantly parents have to be able to make "parent" decisions. Being friends with your child is perfectly fine and dandy, but you have to be able make decisions as a parent without letting your urge to be there friend over rule what you decide. I am just so thankful that my children behave themselves.

Glad to know that there are so many others thinking the same thing! I can't believe what I see sometimes on that show. Mine are now teens and that is a whole new challenge. They were perfect children compared to watching the show.

yes ,you are right i have good kids, but they can be hard headed at times like every other child but super nanny is SUPER. thank God for SUPERNANNY but you know it's not the childrens fault it's the parents. SuperNanny teaches both child and parent.

I think that way too, esp when I am having a hard day with him. They are out of hand because the parents don't punish them when they get out of hand, or the punish them too harshly.

The parents on these types of shows are way more at fault than the children.

My oath I do. My daughter is an angel too. People just let their kids get away with anything - watch out when they grow up with no respect for anything.

After watching the kids on that show (at least the "before") makes filicide sound quite fashionable.
