My heart beats faster and harder than everyone I have ever met before, even while i'm just resting. I notice that when I am working out it beats really fast and not at a steady pace. I also notice not only is it not a steady pace at times, it's not always the same stregthn of beat, (hopefully that makes sense) I'm a 20 y/o female in the military. I don't want to go see doc because I don't want to get kicked out. Anyone know what it could possibly be?

Some people have a naturally irregular heart rhythm, caused by the differences in thoracic pressure during breathing. I happen to have this.

To have an extremely fast heartrate during rest (100-160 beats per min) is concerning. If the rate stays constant during rest, it may be normal. Some people have electrical conduction problems, and their heart rate may go from 80 to 140 and back to 80 in the space of a minute. This could be bursts of paroxsysmal supraventricular tachycardia (PSVT) or runs of atrial fibrillation. Both can be controlled with medications. My cardiologist put me on beta blockers for PSVT and the problem went away.

If you feel dizzy, nauseated, short of breath while your heartrate is elevated or are having palpitations, that could be a sign that you have a major heart problem. This would require an immediate visit to the doctor. Heart problems are never best ignored. It is always best to go make your physician aware that you have a problem. At least then he can track it.

Another thing you can try is cutting caffiene completely out of your diet, trying some relaxation techniques while you're stressed, and eating less salt.

Since you're in the military and proly in pretty good shape, this means that you have an irregular heartbeat like a murmur and you proly should go get it checked out cause it could limit you in certain things or cause problems for you later
