I am at a loss for gift ideas for my 4 year old daughter. My husband and I typically get 1 "big" present along with a bunch of little things. For example, for her birthday, we got her a power wheels convertible as the big gift, and things like clothes, movies, and play makeup as the small gifts.

I am having a hard time thinking of something to get for her for Christmas. I am looking for something under $150 if possible.

Any ideas??

i would head to the disney store. i teach 4 year olds and they are obsessed with disney and anything princess.

does she have a kitchen center?
does she have a little tykes play house?
does she have a kids size table and chair set?

princess costumes, play high heels, cash register and shopping cart, v smile and smartridges, tent...

i also have my own 4 year old little boy and i had trouble finding him something big to get this year too. he didn't really want anything big though...he has all the big stuff so i stuck to lots of smaller things. he just wants a lot of things. he doesn't have the concept of how much things cost yet.

hope you find something great! SD

my youngest is 4, and believe me the cost of gifts doesn't matter, it is how many they get to open...lol They love opening presents at this age and we try to give her as many as we can, some of them only cost $1 and others are more expensive. This year she will get a Barbie laptop (Costco), clothes, Barbie clothes, Barbie tent, movies, toy food for her play kitchen, etc., etc. So, you see there is nothing that is totally expensive but rather everything still adds up to your total. It is my experience after 6 kids that the smaller they are the more they like the idea of opening the presents. When they get older you can do the "big" present idea and boy will those big presents be costly. I have older kids this year who all want IPODs....lol

i have a four year old and i try the whole 1big thing then a few little things.. one thing i have noticed is that she doesn't care about quantity she wants to know how many presents she has ( i don't tell her i just tell her not to worry about it and open them)
this year i got her a CD player and a chalkboard as her BIG present. anything barbie or my little pony (watch our for small things if you have a younger child) also maybe some outside toys a Little table and chairs set and a tea set to go with it... or a sand pit, swing set, slippery dip, Trampoline (toddler one) this is all the things i have thought about ohh a cubby house too, i have to consider her younger sister too though
Good luck i am sure what ever you get her she will love Merry Christmas :)

How about a personalized book? Kids really love to hear their own name in the storyline. Go to this website http://www.tlc-expressions.com They have lots of titles to choose from like Sesame Street, Ballerina Princess, Little Mermaid, Beauty & the Beast, Mother Goose, Scooby-Doo, Looney Tunes, Three Little Pigs and so many more. They are so cute and very reasonably priced....a unique & educational gift! Check it out and good luck...

Save your money... A 4 year old girl won't remember most gifts and will probably play with the box more than the toy. Buy more small stuff.... An etch-a-sketch, play-doh, jacks.and the like...

At that age girls are very much into "having tea" and, I just saw an awesome Disney Tea Set. Doesn't cost much and is beautiful, very sturdy and the quality is excellent. I liked it so much that I gave it to my friend's daughter (who has everything!) for her 4th birthday and it has become her most favorite treasure... : It is a "giant" tea kettle with a beautiful picture of Snow White in front of it. Inside are all of the set pieces, "foods", and utensils. Just beautiful and very attractive. It locks very well so when it's time to put them away inside again, and lock the nice lid attached as real ones are. I know she'll be very excited and you'll be very happy with the comments from her and her Mom... Good luck to you!

I got my daughter who will be 4 soon, a fisher price digital camera, craft art table, pink portable dvd player, dvds, and other small things. Hope that gives you some sort of idea or makes you think of others.

How about a V-smile handheld. Wal-mart has them for like $80 plus a game I think they run $10-15.
