the direct flight from LA to UK?? It's a much diff aircraft used from other aircrafts(obviously) and it's a direct flight. No stops. Forget the name but it should either already be running, or will be soon. Heard of it?? If so can you elaborate for me please? Thanks.

It's something new and obviously different if you can fly from LA to UK without stopping instead of having to fly to NY and then to the UK.

Many airlines from europe have nonstop flights to LA. BA, Virgin,Lufthansa and AirFrance usually the flights are on Boeing 747 or the Airbus A340. Both are 4 engined long ranged aircraft. The twin engined 777 is also used by Air France.

It's been running for years - Virgin flight, about 13 hours-- think it's an airbus. What got me excited is the new direct flight from London to Las Vegas!!

PS - these other airlines also do direct nonstop from London to L.A. - Virign Atlantic, British Airways, United Airlines, American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Air New Zealand, Singapore Airlines and Gulf Air

Taken this flight loads of times its a boeing 747 with a large fuel tank leaves London daily via BA and Virgin. Its only a 12 hour flight. The route your thinking of is the London to Australia non stop which is new and its on teh new airbus i believe again just new engines from RR and big fuel tanks.

Virgin Atlantic do a nonstop LAX to LHR flight. Call there offices in America or in the UK. America is probably a better bet.

There have been direct flights from London to LA for decades. They fly the polar route; it's not all that much farther than London to NYC -- only a couple of hours longer. I've flown it a number of times.

The new Airbus A380 will be able to do that, as well as the new Boeing Dreamliner.
