I'm friends with a guy I used to date. We still go out for dinner once or twice every week and sometimes hang out on weekends. We stopped dating and became friends 4 months ago when I found out that he'd had a gf when we started dating. (When I asked him about it he said they'd been at the end of their relationship when he first asked me out and broken up soon after we started dating.)

About a month ago, he told me that he would like to date me again and see if we have a real future. At the time, I told him that I was not sure. Ever since then, he's been calling/emailing me more often, telling me more about his day, trying to make next dinner plans while we are on a dinner, returning my emails/calls sooner, etc.

I have to admit that I still have feelings for him. But I am not sure if I should forgive him for the fact that he did not tell me that he'd had a gf when he first asked me out, although he told me about it when I asked him. Should I give him another chance?

I have to admit, it's hard to decide in cases like this. Many people would say not to talk to the jerk. But I once forgave a guy for doing something he shouldn't have, and now we're making plans to get married. Ultimately, you won't find your answer in this column. Just listen to your heart. Do you want to give him another chance? Is he worth you? You'll know what's right when the time comes.

Hello! Men!! They can't seem to make up their minds, This is what I suggest, I think you need to decide if he wants to date you becasue he cares for you or if he likes the chase. Maybe after dating you he got "bored" because he knew you liked him so he decided to move on. Perhaps now he can see the chase again because you are not jumping at the chance to go out with him. I would say if you decide to go out with him again, maybe don't tell him how much you care about him right away. I hate to play games myself but seems if you tell them how you feel they are no longer interested. They get afraid to settle down, like they are going to miss somthing. well good luck to you!

If he lies to you once there is a chance that he will lie again. My opinion is that when you started being friends then there was no future. To be honest I would just still be friends

He seems genuine, so yes I would give him another chance. But let him know first that you are still hurt because of what he did. Just share your feelings with him, I'm sure he'll understand.
