In the Gospel of John, Jesus said to the Pharisees, "before Abraham was, I AM." In Exodus, when Moses asks God what his name is, God calls himself "I AM'. God is referring to his eternal state of being.
In all the Gospel books (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John), Jesus refers to himself as the "Son of Man." Please read Daniel chapter 7 in the Bible (written 500 years before Jesus was born) where the "son of man" is given an eternal kingdom and people of all nations and languages will serve and worship him. Please also read Isaiah 53 and Isaiah 9 (written 700 years before Jesus was born) -- where a child is born "and he shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
I know that the Koran says over and over again that Jesus is not God. Mohammed was either unaware of or did not understand how these Old Testament prophecies predicted the life and work of Jesus. Christians do not believe in three gods, not matter what the Koran says. There is only one God. Just because the Trinity is difficult to understand does not mean that it is not true. I think that it is blasphemous to think that any human can totally understand the nature of the Everlasting Almighty God.
There are many things in the Koran that are very inconsistent with the Torah and with the Gospels, even though the Koran hails the Torah and the Gospels as God's revelation.

Having read all the answers you recieved, the question for a Muslim, is do you respect the fact that worshipping a perfect man given as God by God and always in perfect unity with God makes as much sense as not doing so?
The essential difference.
And oh yes, to venom, who said calling Jesus a prophet was disrespectful. Jesus was given as the perfection of Prophet, Priest, and King to all of the universe.

Scripture teaches us that in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. Jesus always existed, there is God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, all are one God

Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit are one in the same they form a trinity. The powers of God are beyond surface understanding. Go before God and pray for wisdom and he will instill the knowledge you search for.

Yes. Jesus IS God. (Please don't call him a prophet. That is very insulting)
would it make a difference to you?
I still gonna give you an answer anyway.
Jesus says so himself in the book of John chapter 10 verse 30 :
"I and my father are one"
and in the book of Genesis ( the first book in the bible written by Moses) chapter 1 verse 26
God says: "let US make MAN in our image, according to OUR likeness..."
This shows the fellowship of the trinity ( God the father, God the son(Jesus) and God the holy spirit).
The thrinity is the powerful mystery of the 3 embodiment of God, in one.
I hope this answers your question.

The prophesy of Christ speaks for itself. There was no prophesy concerning Muhammad or any other "gods" for that matter. The trinity is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God sent himself in human form to redeem mankind and left us His Holy Spirit to dwell within us. That's why Christians claim Jesus is Lord.

I am a daughter, a sister, and a mother - 3 persons in one. It's the same with God; God the father, God the son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit. Have you ever read the Bible? We were always meant to have relationship with God, but Adam messed that up in the Garden of Eden. God sent Jesus to bridge the gap and cover our sin, so that we can be re-united with him. It is the greatest act of love, grace and forgiveness. Jesus was sent as a model of how we Christians should live our lives. I'm not saying we do, or that we're perfect, but we should endevour to be like Jesus. He did not judge, he was forgiving, and he carried out God's will, to the point of being alienated in his home town, and then hung on the cross.
It's a confusing concept, but when I'm in heaven with my Lord, it'll make perfect sense, and I will worship him for all eternity.

I could site many aspects; but I will limit the reply to this one. Jesus was to be called at birth Emmanuel. Emmanuel means God with us.
