I see so many questions like this one every day (so I can't believe I'm asking one now).

But why would it bother the religious people on here that atheists and agnostics Q&A people about religion?

Wouldn't you want to take advantage of the opportuinity to show the world that your religion is logical and can be defended?

Wouldn't you want to show those people who are undecided how good and rational it is to become a Christian (or whatever faith you are)?

I see so many Christians on here complain about atheists being on here, but isn't this just a chance for you to show how foolish they are?

Thanks,
Curious Atheist here

I dont mind the Atheists, Agnostics or other faiths at all and Im glad they ask questions. However I DONT like the hateful and slanderous comments. I dont mind sarcasm or tongue in cheek comments but I dont like the blatantly insulting things. Many Atheists complain that Christians are disrespectful and hateful and there are many professed Christians here that are... however I am not one of them, I don't cuss anyone out or send anyone to hell.... yet there are still a good amount of atheists (and those of other faiths) that trash my questions and send me hate mail.

Atheists probably have some of the best questions, though its hard to get many to ask them seriously.

Mature and informed Christians look at things from a different perspective in explaining their position. Immature Christians become frustrated because they don't know an answer or how to appropriately address the question. In a way they feel caught off guard. Personally, i don't respond to people who are being obnoxious for the sake of being obnoxious. Those that are sincere and are asking real questions, i answer as best i can.

Yes, it is an opportunity to display logically the science of Biblical investigation and give the references for Skeptics to read and decide for themselves.

Atheism is defined as a religion, with a set of rules, beliefs and values.

Yes, I am glad the Athiests are on here. Then we can learn what they think about the one true God. Christians need to respect what others believe in. Altho., we would Love to teach the Athiest , that there is a God . I would also like to read from the Athiests that they should not condem the Christians or other religions. We need to Respect each others beliefs. Live and let Live. I Love the study of Science , but I Love my God more. God is the main leader in the field of Science. Athiests and other beliefs have a right to be on here too. Let's all keep our opinions civil.

I don't really care one way or another. They made their choice and I made mine. A persons faith is their own business. I spent many years as an atheist. Then I found my own way,as everybody has to do on their own. My only complaint about the Atheist that are typically on here, is they complain about Christianity and how we are all out to change them, yet they come on here in an attempt to change all of us and make us see the light. Seems pretty hypocritical to me. Why is it alright for them to change all of us, and put us down just because they don't
t agree with us?
I personally don't care what a person's religious affilliation is, this is America. A country founded by those escaping religious persecution. So why in America do we allow those to persecute us?

I don't think it's a problem, and while I would say that I am Christian, I think that every one of every creed deserves the right to believe (or not believe =P) what they wish. I hate it when there are Christians who have their heads so far up their butts to realize that there are other people out in this world too.
I'm sorry that this world is stupid. The saddest thing too, is this statement, "Christians are the number one thing that turn people away from Christianity," is true.

First of all it has nothing to do with being right. Second there are some 'Christians' who don't know the first thing about Christianity, just go to church so they can network, and never even cracked open their Bible. However you are close to a good point. It is a good chance to minister to atheists to allow them to see the true nature of sin and why Christ died instead of saying He will make your life better.

The more the merrier! A true Christian and a knowledgeable Christian will welcome the unbelievers. There are so many Christians who are "folk theologians" and are ill prepared to deal with the intensity of the questions an atheist or agnostic poses. That's where they feel threatened.

i am catholic. it doesn't bother me that atheists use this site, it is a free country after all. i don't complain about any other belief or the lack of and i see no reason to preach my views or values to anyone. if someone asked a legitimate question i would be happy to answer it. the problem lies in those who feel the need to offend or ridicule those with beliefs that are different from their own.

I think the people that complain the loudest are the people who have the biggest doubt in their own beliefs.

If you get "upset" that we question your religion, then maybe you aren't as knowledgeable and confident in your own thoughts as you would like people to believe. So, you say that we are "attacking" you or "offending" you.

If you don't have the answers, then just don't answer. Don't turn it around and say we attack you. Just go back, read your bible, and become more sure in your own belief system.

THEN, come back and try to have a conversation with us Atheists that are only trying to learn something.
