i am 13 and when we are eating dinner sometimes the subject of dating in middle school comes up. I always say thats its kind of stupid because it dosent mean anything to be in a relationship in middle school, its not like your going to reproduce or something. But now, I met a girl that i liked and I asked her out. Now i regret all I have said at the dinner table. My younger sister is a sixth grader at my school, and all my friends know her and talk to her. Im afraid she will soon find out and be soo outraged and tell my parents, then i don't even want to know what will happen next! My GF also told her parents about me. I dont know what would happen. Should i tell my parents about her before someone tells them?

Definitely let them know. If they find out from your sister, they're going to wonder what why you're hiding a gf from them and may get a little upset. Just talk to them without your little sister around, and tell them that you met someone. I'm sure they'll be fine with it.

yes you should. just sit them down and be honest about her. perhaps your sister shouldn't be in the room when you talk about it. you should find a way to explain your false feelings on middle school relationships.

It would make you feel better if you were the one to tell them instead of them finding out from someone else...

well in my opinion you are to young to date, but yes i would tell them before it gets out and the story is made bigger than it is and all kind of rumors get started.

you should tell them. they wont care at all, everyone says things that they regret like that. parents might tease you about it but they wont actually be mad. they will be happy that you have a crush(girlfriend. but in parents eyes its a crush)
